Originally thali was served in banana leaves, but since then they have been replaced by plates and a tray. In the center of the tray is ordinary rice, and next to it, in small containers, a familiar one has already given you, curry, Kurdish, chapatis, pickle and chutney sauce, roti.
The simplest thali consists of 5-6 dishes, and on holidays or in restaurants their number rises to 25. Depending on the region, thali differ in a set of dishes and are distinguished by the name of the state.
