These buttery little things are so delicate and light; with their beautifully scalloped shape flavoured here with a simple combination of vanilla and lemon.
I used a very easy recipe from local (to me) foodie jamesclark37, who has a cherry version of these on his blog. I actually had the pleasure of trying those as part of a Devon bakers against racism bake sale a while back (I took them as a snack to have on top of Dartmoor!) and they didn’t disappoint! They are sweet, airy and delicious – perfect with a cuppa. Make them! ?
