NASI GORENG WITH SOY + SESAME:
When I make rice I always make extra just for dishes like this! Actually this is probably my preferred way to eat rice; filled with lots of ‘whatever I can find in the fridge’. For this take on nasi goreng I used shallots, red onion, red chilli, spring onions, chestnut mushrooms and some chopped-up chipolatas! I added Chinese 5 spice, soy sauce and sesame oil for flavouring and I also let the rice catch just a little on the base of the pan to create texture and even more flavour! Topped with a fried egg and spicy shichimi togarashi seasoning. Happy start to the week foodies! ?
