Mountain Potato Gratin ?
Hands-down my most indulgent and delicious side dish; slices of potato and celeriac baked in a garlicky peppercorn cream sauce and smothered in double cheese. There’s a lot of goodness in the celeriac, and it adds a subtle nuttiness to the dish. It’s SO moreish. Matt actually ate tons of this straight from the pan before I even managed to get it on the plate, so we don’t have much leftover for tomorrow (I think that means it’s pretty special)!
…Why ‘Mountain’ potato gratin? Not that I’ve ever been, but I imagine this would sit nicely amongst some other alpine dishes, perfect for that post-ski warming comfort (or in my case, post painting the house warming comfort). Recipe steps in stories/highlights. I’m also going to start tagging to try and collate my recipes (I’ll go back through my old ones soon!); and so I can see more of YOUR recreations!
